10 Reindeer Handprint Craft Ideas That Turn Tiny Prints Into Keepsakes

Little handprints make the sweetest holiday memories—especially when they become cheerful reindeer! These easy crafts are perfect for toddlers, preschoolers, and early elementary kids. Gather washable brown paint, googly eyes, red pom-poms, and a few basic supplies to turn tiny prints into keepsakes worth displaying year after year.

1. Classic Rudolph Handprint

Paint a child’s palm brown and stamp it onto cardstock with fingers pointing down. The thumb becomes Rudolph’s face; add eyes, a red pom-pom nose, and a smiling mouth.

2. Handprint Reindeer Ornament

Make a print on salt dough or air-dry clay. Once dry, paint it brown, add a red nose, and thread ribbon through a small hole for a tree ornament.

3. Reindeer Antler Card

Use a brown handprint as the antlers above a drawn reindeer face. Write a holiday greeting inside for an adorable card grandparents will treasure.

4. Thumbprint Reindeer Family

Create several brown thumbprints on paper, then add tiny antlers, eyes, and noses. Label each reindeer with a family member’s name.

5. Handprint Reindeer Gift Tags

Stamp small handprints onto kraft paper tags. Add a red nose and tie them onto holiday gifts for a handmade finishing touch.

6. Snowy Reindeer Scene

Add a handprint reindeer to blue paper, then use white paint or cotton balls for falling snow. A few paper trees complete the winter scene.

7. Reindeer Paper Plate

Paint a paper plate brown and glue on handprint antlers cut from brown construction paper. Finish with big eyes and a pom-pom nose.

8. Keepsake Canvas

Create one handprint reindeer on a small canvas and add the child’s name and year. It makes a meaningful seasonal decoration or gift.

9. Reindeer Headband

Trace and cut out two handprints from brown paper. Attach them to a paper headband as playful reindeer antlers for holiday dress-up.

10. Handprint Reindeer Wreath

Arrange multiple brown paper handprints in a circle to form a wreath. Add a reindeer face in the center and a ribbon bow at the top.

Don’t forget to date every creation. Those little fingers grow quickly, but these reindeer crafts preserve a joyful snapshot of the season.
