What is lemongrass tincture used for?

Lemongrass is a very useful herb, and its tincture is no less!

People have been using lemongrass tincture (in drinks, dishes, or as it is) to treat several medical conditions. But there’s not enough scientific evidence to back this claim.

However, if you ask me, it has worked for me 100% of the time. Also, it has been my true savior in the kitchen as well.

Having said that, I’ll tell you below the 9 benefits of lemongrass tincture so that you can also take advantage of it:

1. Antioxidant Properties

Lemongrass tincture is rich in antioxidants (polyphenols, citral, geraniol, etc). They work best to maintain the well-being of your body cells.

Also, all these antioxidants are excellent for preventing oxidative stress.

What’s that?

In simple words, it’s a condition in which there’s an imbalance between free radicals and antioxidants in your body, which leads to many serious illnesses.

Thankfully, the regular use of lemongrass tinctures keeps your body cells in good shape and reduces the risks of chronic diseases.

2. Anti-Inflammatory Properties

The compounds in lemongrass tinctures are full of anti-inflammatory properties that could do wonders for you!

They prevent your body from getting swollen and achy due to inflammation (which hurts really bad).

There’s more! If you’re suffering from arthritis, lemongrass tincture could just save your day!

It eases the pain in your joints, gets rid of swelling, and you’re able to live your life to the fullest.

3. Digestive Health

Lemongrass tincture has been a go-to remedy for issues like indigestion and bloating.

These problems never let you sit comfortably for even a second.

The compounds (citral and geraniol) in lemongrass tincture help unclog the blockages in the digestive tract, which makes the food easier to move through (reducing discomfort).

If you regularly consume it, all your stomach woes will bid adieu and, hopefully, never return!

4. Stress Reduction

Stress could literally wreak havoc in your life!

Well, lemongrass tincture is the perfect solution! Its scent has aromatherapeutic qualities, which bring a sense of calm and relieve stress. It wakes up your senses and releases neurotransmitters, and suddenly you feel relaxed.

Let me tell you how I use it to combat stress and tension! I add a few drops of lemongrass tincture in a diffuser, sit back, and inhale the steam. It works like magic for me.

Go ahead and try it for yourself! I can guarantee you it will help you. Thank me later, amigos!

5. Immune System Support

Do you often come under the weather too quickly? That means your immune system is weak, and you need to take action immediately!

Don’t worry! Lemongrass tincture is here to make your immune system strong. Its regular use can enhance your body’s defense mechanisms and boost your overall health.

The microbial properties in it fight against fungi and other bacteria, and you rarely fall ill. How amazing is that! A few drops of lemongrass tincture daily can change your life!

6. Cancer Prevention

Cancer is a deadly disease that destroys you from inside and out. But you can prevent it, and that’s pretty easy!

How? Lemongrass tincture, that’s right! Its properties are known to fight against the growth of cancer cells.

If you’re using lemongrass tincture on a daily basis, you’re shielding your body from cancer.

Also, it starts a process called “apoptosis,” which naturally helps your body to get rid of extra or unhealthy cells.

And I’m not done yet! It puts a stop to the growth of new blood vessels that provide nutrients to tumors.

But that’s not it! Lemongrass tincture alone wouldn’t do anything. Use it with a proper diet, exercise, and a nice lifestyle, and (Only) then you can expect to lead a healthy life.

7. Cognitive Function

In an old age, diseases attack you, one after the other! Among them, the worst one is Alzheimer’s.

It slowly but gradually destroys your memory and ability to think and make decisions. You can’t even do the simplest of things.

And that’s where lemongrass tincture jumps in! It strengthens your cognitive functions and stabilizes your ability to think by protecting your brain cells.

In my opinion, it’s best that you start consuming lemongrass tincture right from a young age so that it reaps benefits for you in the future.

Prevention is the key!

8. Enhance the Taste of Beverages

You’ve read everything about lemongrass tinctures being so helpful health-wise, but it is amazing in the kitchen as well.

I’ve been adding lemongrass tinctures to my teas, milkshakes, lemonades, and other beverages, and oh boy, this has been the best decision of my life!

It not only makes the beverages taste superb but also makes them healthy. Two birds, one shot! The citrus note of lemongrass tincture creates a memorable taste profile that you’ll never be able to forget, and you will keep asking for more!

And let’s not forget about cocktails.

Lemongrass tincture definitely up the game when you add it to the cocktails. Of course, you can tweak the quantity as per your liking, and you’re good to go!
