10 Easy Halloween Desserts Kids Can Make Without Oven Help

Halloween treats don’t need an oven—or a complicated recipe. These spooky, sweet ideas are simple enough for kids to make with a little adult supervision for cutting or melting ingredients. Set out colorful sprinkles, candy eyes, and a few decorations, then let their creativity shine.

1. Ghost Bananas

Peel bananas, cut them in half, and add mini chocolate chips for eyes and a larger chip for a mouth. Serve chilled.

2. Monster Apple Slices

Spread peanut butter or cream cheese on apple slices. Add candy eyes, sprinkles, or small fruit pieces to create silly monster faces.

3. Spider Cookies

Use store-bought chocolate sandwich cookies. Add pretzel sticks for legs and candy eyes on top with a dab of frosting.

4. Pumpkin Patch Pudding Cups

Fill clear cups with chocolate pudding. Top with crushed chocolate cookies, candy pumpkins, and green icing “vines.”

5. Witch Hat Cookies

Place a chocolate kiss in the center of a round chocolate cookie. Use orange or purple frosting to attach it and make a colorful hat band.

6. Frankenstein Rice Cake Faces

Spread green-tinted cream cheese or frosting on rice cakes. Add chocolate chip hair, candy eyes, and a licorice mouth.

7. Candy Corn Parfaits

Layer pineapple or mango, orange segments, and whipped cream in a glass for a candy corn-inspired dessert with fruit.

8. Mummy Pretzel Rods

Dip pretzel rods in melted white candy coating with adult help, then drizzle extra coating in crisscross lines. Add candy eyes before it sets.

9. Haunted Brownie Bites

Use ready-made brownie bites and top each one with a marshmallow “ghost.” Draw faces using black icing or edible marker.

10. Oreo Bat Pops

Insert a craft stick into a chocolate sandwich cookie. Add cookie halves as wings and candy eyes with frosting for an adorable bat pop.

For a fun Halloween activity, put toppings into small bowls and let kids build their own dessert creatures. The mess is part of the magic!
